The Spinney

This has been an ongoing project, which started in 2012 and has been incorporated with the maintenance of the garden.

The slope needed initial work as this had a new structure built at the top.

Old trees were removed, laurels pruned and a new Prunus lucitanica hedge planted on the border.

The pathway was edged with Lavandual angustifolia 'Imperial Gem', which is a compact lavender with spikes of deep purple flowers.  The steep area to the rear of the garage was planted with Berberis thunbergii 'Atropurpurea Nana'.  The two colours really complimenting each other.  This was then infilled with Foeniculum vulgare 'Giant Bronze', Anemone × hybrida

'Honorine Jobert' and spring bulbs.

The rockery was replanted in 2014
